KentHOPE and Northwest Harvest to benefit from community donations.
Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (OPENPRESS) Western U.S. delivery company, GLS, is partnering with KentHOPE and Northwest Harvest to collect food and household items during the Oct. 15 Kent Chamber of Commerce Expo & Taste of Kent at the ShoWare Center.
Both non-profits have stellar reputations for helping the poor and homeless in the Puget Sound region. GLS is excited to support both of them in their work to aid the community and invites individuals and businesses to drop off non-perishable food and household items such as paper towels, toilet paper, wipes, trash bags, socks and deodorant at the Expo. The GLS team will eagerly load donations for distribution into its vehicles in front of the ShoWare Center.
GLS, which has served customers locally since it expanded into the Northwest in 2017, signed on as the Presenting Sponsor of the Expo to introduce its services to the local business community and to give back to those in need.
"We are committed to working with organizations like KentHOPE and Northwest Harvest to help support local communities. As presenting sponsor at the Kent Chamber Expo, we look forward to introducing our 30 years of delivery experience to the South Sound business community," said Millie Tarallo, Vice President of Sales and Customer Success at GLS. "We encourage the community to bring food and household items to the Expo. We'll load them into our trucks and deliver them to the local non-profits that work so tirelessly each day to serve people who need help."
The public and business community are invited to attend the Kent Chamber of Commerce Expo & Taste of Kent from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 15, 2019, at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St., Kent.
