The Fed Xchange Internet Café Announces its Grand Opening at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy in Artesia, New Mexico. Healthy Food Options to be Offered to Trainees.
Pottstown, PA (OPENPRESS) October 17, 2009 -- Performance Food Centers announces the opening of the Fed Xchange Internet Cafe, a juice bar located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico. One of three official training sites for the department of homeland security, the FBI and 80 different Federal Agencies; FLETC trains up to 3000 students at a time. The smoothie juice bar is located in the student center building on their campus directly across from the gym.
Recognizing the need for nutritional alternatives to meals for trainees on-the-go and for immediately following post workout, Xchange owner Tom Winters felt that a health juice bar would be perfect at FLETC Artesia. A full selection of healthy fitness smoothies and whole-food snacks made with no added sugar, additives or artificial ingredients is exactly what FLETC trainees need to stay mentally and physically sharp. Furthermore Tom knew that the combination of a juice bar and internet café would also be a hit because people could use a place to come together.
A marathon runner and business owner already, Mr. Winters felt that opening a juice bar business on base would be a great opportunity, however to be successful he would have to find the right partner.
