Local Flower Shop Recognized For Arrangement Designs
Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) December 23, 2008 -- Janice Cutler, president and owner of North Raleigh Florist (www.northraleighfloristinc.com), located at 7457 Six Forks Road, has announced that all of the shop's floral designers were recognized at the 2008 North Carolina State Fair Design Show.
Ginny Tessitore received a blue ribbon in the Surprise Package category in which designers were to create a centerpiece incorporating traditional themes or employing vegetative elements, family photos, china, silver or kitchen items in the design.
In the Bridal category, Anita Swiman received a blue ribbon, Lisa House received second place and Neal Hedgepeth received third place. This category asked designers to create a bridal bouquet for Elizabeth Taylor, channeling Hollywood glitz and glamour, and include at least one fabric, jewelry or metallic element.
Swiman received a blue ribbon in the Sympathy category which challenged designers to create an original sympathy design celebrating the inspiration of a loved one who has passed. House and Tessitore were also honored in the Sympathy category, receiving second and fourth place respectively.
