Las Vegas Shows is proud to announce a new tribute show with the history and magic of Rod Stewart, a legend in the music industry. This downtown show starts in mid January and the Las Vegas Shows.com website has tickets on sale now.

(OPENPRESS) December 28, 2010 -- Forever Rod A Tribute to Rod Stewart and Friends debuts January 14th in Downtown Las Vegas. Some of Rod's friends include celebrity impersonator Lady Gaga, Cher and maybe even a Madonna. This tribute show is scheduled to perform Wednesday through Saturday in the Embassy Theatre located inside the Las Vegas Rocks Café in downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Las Vegas is rich with the history of Las Vegas. It holds many Las Vegas "firsts," including first hotel which was called Hotel Nevada in 1906, now called Golden Gate, the first telephone in1907, the first paved street in1925, the first Nevada gaming license — issued to the Northern Club at 15 E. Fremont St, the first traffic light, the first elevator located in the Apache Hotel in 1932, and the first high-rise the Fremont Hotel in 1956. The Horseshoe was the first casino to install carpeting, while the Golden Nugget was the first structure designed from the ground up to be a casino.

The Fremont Street Experience was conceived in the 1990s as a way to draw more people to the downtown area. It's an overhead canopy Light & Sound Show that is presented nightly beginning at dusk. These shows last for about 5 to 6 minutes and everyone in the street stop doing what they are doing to look up to see the world's largest big screen called Viva Vision.

Many of the light shows are accompanied by music from legendary artists like Queen, Kiss and the Doors. It's the songs you know and love, so sing along while watching the amazing array of lights and video.

Now more than ever people are looking to get more value for their money. Downtown Las Vegas is packed with value. Entertainment is abundant in downtown Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Rocks Café is home to several events that are filled with fun for the entire family.
