Biologist and award-winning photographer Pete Oxford will lead an exclusive wildlife photography tour in the magical Galapagos islands from March 24 to April 2, 2010.

Quito, Ecuador (OPENPRESS) October 16, 2009 -- Biologist and award-winning photographer Pete Oxford will lead an exclusive wildlife photography tour in the magical Galapagos islands from March 24 to April 2, 2010.

Teeming with wildlife, much of it endemic to the islands, the Galapagos is truly a photographer's paradise.

Participants on this small group wildlife photography tour will benefit from Pete's experience as a former naturalist guide and frequent visitor of Galapagos for more than 20 years. His aim is to be in the right place at the right time to get the best shots. Wildlife photography enthusiasts can expect to experience close encounters with the unique and famously tame wildlife and be ashore at the sites earlier than other Galapagos visitors to take advantage of the best morning light.

The wildlife photography tour has been scheduled to enable the best opportunity to capture a range of mating displays, including the elegant courtship dance of the Waved Albatross, and to coincide with warm waters and the best visibility conditions for underwater photography.

For wildlife photography enthusiasts this is a rare Masterclass run in the field by a professional whose images have been featured 10 times in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards and who, with his long-time partner and wife Reneé Bish, has published nine books, two of which focus entirely on the Galapagos. He is also published in many international magazines including National Geographic, BBC Wildlife, International Wildlife, GEO, Smithsonian, Nature's Best, Airone and The Geographical.

Spaces are strictly limited to 14 on this wildlife photography tour so bookings should be made early to secure a space. More information about Pete Oxford, a day by day itinerary and details on tour costs and inclusions can be found at http://www.insidersgalapagos.com

About the Tour
Participants in this Galapagos wildlife photography tour you will be free to relax and focus on their photography while Insider's Galapagos takes care of all the travel arrangements from the time they are met at the airport in Quito until they take their flight back home.

Travel around the islands is aboard a new luxury yacht, M/Y Galapagos Odyssey, that has been designed especially for small groups to ensure privacy and comfort, and to minimize the impact on the fragile Galapagos ecosystem.

Participants can also take advantage of Insider's Galapagos' extensive knowledge and experience of travel in Ecuador to arrange an extension to their trip. They can help travellers arrange anything from an extra hotel night in Quito to a week exploring the Ecuadorian Andes or Amazon. Travellers can be confident that by using an Ecuadorian company they are getting the best possible value while maximising the economic benefits to local businesses and communities.
