Boca Raton, FL (OPENPRESS) December 25, 2008 -- When Boca Raton-based Blinc Inc. sought a fresh face to be the model for its new skin care line, the international cosmetics company's search led to Boca Raton resident Deborah Bernstein.
Bernstein, the reigning Ms. Florida U.S. Continental and former Mrs. Florida 2002 titleholder, had just the right look that Blinc CEO Lewis Farsedakis was seeking to promote resurf.a.stic™, which he describes as "the world's first, one-step innovation that combines hydration and long-lasting, skin-enriching treatment with professional quality microdermabrasion." The four products in the line address the face, body, ingrown hairs and calluses respectively.
"Deborah is a breath of fresh air and I knew right away that she was perfect for our new campaign," said Farsedakis.
Bernstein has a multi-faceted background that includes television commercials and modeling of couture gowns, as well as fashions by Pucci and, most recently, Carolina Herrera. She is hoping her relationship with Blinc will be a long and enjoyable one.
Her earlier career highlights include extensive experience in business administration as a senior executive for the Marriott and Hilton Hotels. In the future, Bernstein plans to open the Finishing Up School of Etiquette to help aspiring or rising executives improve their social and corporate skills.
This model citizen also selflessly gives back to the community. As the key collaborator in establishing The Ted & Deborah Bernstein Family Foundation in 2008, she serves as its president. The foundation financially assists families and children in need of counseling and therapeutic services that would otherwise be unavailable to them.
Also among Bernstein's roster of charitable endeavors are her commitments to One Laptop Per Child, the American Cancer Society, the Humane Society of Greater Miami and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Additionally, this fall she donated her time to teach basic etiquette skills at The Gratitude House, a non-profit corporation in West Palm Beach that offers rehabilitation and support services to chemically dependent females.
Bernstein is both a devoted wife and mother. Married to Ted Bernstein, co-founder of the highly successful Life Insurance Concepts in Boca Raton, she resides with their family in East Boca Raton.
Founded by Lewis Farsedakis and his wife Suma in 1999, blinc is a privately held company that currently markets its products in over 30 countries and continues to expand internationally. It was ranked on the Inc. 5000 list in both 2007 and 2008.
