Articulon's Brian Van Norman Named to Orchestra Board

The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle announced Brian Van Norman, and Articulon employee, will be added to the board of directors. His duties will include fundraising and media relations.
Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) October 20, 2009 -- Articulon (www.articulon.com), a Triangle-based branding and public relations firm, announces today the three-year appointment of Brian Van Norman to the board of directors for The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle (www.thecot.org).
Van Norman will focus on fundraising and media relations, as well as serve on other board committees. The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle is one of the finest professional ensembles in the Southeast. Its 2009-2010 season consists of five performances under the leadership of internationally recognized conductor Lorenzo Muti.
"Brian's passion for music and community involvement makes him a valuable addition to our board," says David Lindquist, board chair for The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle. "We look forward to the professional expertise and energy he brings to the organization."
Van Norman dedicates his leadership to a number of nonprofit organizations. Most recently he was named publicity chair of the 2010 A Toast to the Triangle, the signature fundraising event benefitting the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities. He has also conducted media relations and event management for the inaugural Capital Quilters Guild quilt auction.
A native of Binghamton, New York, Van Norman received a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from North Carolina State University. He lives in Raleigh with his wife, Kelly, and their two dogs.
