Graziano Verdi will become the managing director of Technogym in January 2009
(OPENPRESS) December 24, 2008 -- In January 2009, Technokolla's chairman and managing director will also become the MD of Technogym, an enterprise that designs and manufactures equipment for home and professional fitness. It was Graziano Verdi himself who made the announcement at the last Board meeting of Granitifiandre SpA.
The desire to embark upon a new experience in the field of wellness and luxury lies behind this decision, which will add to Verdi's daily commitments in the Sassuolo plant. Dr. Romano Minozzi, principal shareholder of the group, fully understood and backed the manager's decision. During the next Board meeting, scheduled for 2 January 2009, Verdi will propose Minozzi as a candidate for the positions of chairman and managing director of Granitifiandre he previously held.
Thus an increasing number of commitments and responsibilities are about to be shouldered by Verdi who, besides running the Sassuolo enterprise, will also be taking up the challenge from Cesena. In short, he will endeavour to "create value by attaining medium and long-term goals" in the Romagnese city. Moreover, as underscored by the press release, he must "strengthen Technogym's standing as the leading internationally known enterprise in the wellness industry when it comes to product and service innovation and the development of new market segments."
But Verdi is used to challenges and has certainly won many during his career. He was very young when he started work in the Granitifiandre group. In 1986, was the youngest Italian executive and subsequently went on to become the MD. In twenty-five years, he guided the company towards a success that's acknowledged world-wide and turned its image to account. Thus, in the new year, he'll be embarking upon stimulating parallel commitments in Technokolla - Technogym that could even lead to synergies.
