Strikes 4 Kids Charity Weekend Set for February 23-24

Former Wolfpack football stars Dontay Moch, Colin Kaepernick, James Michael-Johnson, Virgil Green, Brandon Marshall, Ezra Butler and Kevin Basped are scheduled to participate.
Anchorage, AK (OPENPRESS) Reno- Strikes 4 Kids is hosting its first "Stratmish Reno Charity Weekend" presented by the Peppermill Resort Spa & Casino featuring a bowling tournament on Saturday, February 23, from 6-10 p.m. at The National Bowling Stadium and a Poker Tournament on Sunday, February 24 starting at 1 p.m. at the Peppermill Resort Spa & Casino.
The events will raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Northern Nevada Chapter. Admission for is a $30 donation per person or $100 (team of 4) for the bowling tournament. That includes a minimum of 3 games of bowling and shoe rental and bowling prizes for top scores. Admission for is a $100 donation per person with a $10000 prize pool for the Poker Tournament.

Tickets are available through their Web site, www.strikes4kidsreno.org, and at the door on the day of the events. The bowling center is located at 300 North Center Street, Reno 89501 while the Peppermill Resort Spa & Casino is located at 2707 South Virginia Street, Reno 89502
Joe Allen the Founder/CEO of Strikes 4 Kids created the non-profit organization to partner professional athletes with benefiting children's organizations in the community. "The main things we try to share at our events are fun, being comfortable and accessibility," Allen said in a press release about the event.
This is the first Strikes 4 Kids Charity weekend held in Reno. Their organization has hosted bowling events, comedy shows, charity dinners and other fun fundraisers throughout Northern California.
"I couldn't be more proud of the steps and progress we've taken in the community over the past year," Allen said. "Each event is a learning experience for me. I continue to be impressed by the attendees who open up and share their story, their time and their hope for the causes we've decided to pull for."
