REDW Secures "Chief Bean Counter" Record In St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance Food Drive

REDWLLC is pleased to announce that the firm has won the 16th Annual Hill of Beans Contest, collecting enough "beans" to allow St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance to distribute more than 22,400 meals to those in need.

With offices in Phoenix and Albuquerque, REDW is one of the 10 largest and most respected CPA and business consulting firms in the Southwest.
The firm raised $3,200 in the competition, in which nine local accounting and CPA firms vied to collect the most money to donate. For at least the last four years, the former Miller, Allen & Co. took top honors among the competing firms.
"St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance distributes more food in our community during the summer than at any other time during the year," said Steve Harris, Principal in the REDW Phoenix office and formerly with Miller Allen. "Children are out of school and do not have access to the breakfast and lunch programs available to them during the school year," he explained.
"Our entire team at REDW is committed to doing whatever we can to help ensure that children in our community have access to healthy, nutritious food," he added.
Justin LaMar, a Tax Senior Accountant in the Phoenix office, led the internal effort. "It is very gratifying to see the results of our efforts having a direct impact on 'our' kids," he said. "I am proud of REDW's commitment to public service, which is a great reminder of what we can accomplish when working as a team," he noted.
