Bucks County Behavioral Health Facility Meets High Standards of Quality

Philadelphia, PA-NJ (OPENPRESS) New Vitae Mental Health Center, a behavioral healthcare services provider in the heart of Quakertown in Upper Bucks County, Pa., has once again received the honor of accreditation by the Joint Commission. New Vitae has been continually accredited by the Joint Commission since the early 1990's, recognizing their excellent care and ability to serve individuals with behavioral health challenges of the Lehigh and Delaware Valleys.

"As a premier behavioral health resource, we are committed to recovery principles and support of the individuals, families and communities we serve," said Adam Devlin, President and Chairman of New Vitae Mental Heath Center's Board of Directors. "New Vitae is a key asset in Tri-County Respite's coordinated approach in providing caring, individualized clinical programs and residential support services for individuals with a wide range of challenges. This was a comprehensive two-day survey of our outpatient and partial hospitalization services and we are proud to have earned such high accolades."

The Joint Commission is a not-for-profit organization that evaluates more than 20,000 health care institutions nationwide with more than 2,000 of them being behavioral health facilities. New Vitae Mental Health Center selected the Joint Commission as its accreditation body because it is recognized nationally as an organization that has made a commitment to meeting superior performance standards.

During the survey, the Joint Commission representative met with New Vitae Mental Health Center's management, clinical staff and clients, reviewed medical records and protocols, conducted in-depth reviews of safety, care delivery, and quality improvement processes, and more. According to the Joint Commission, achieving accreditation is a visible sign of an organization's ongoing commitment to safe, high quality care, treatment and services.

Devlin adds, "New Vitae staff members are enjoying a standout year, after being recognized as one of the Lehigh Valley's Top Workplaces for 2013 in January. This three-year accreditation by the Joint Commission is a result of the dedicated professionalism of our staff."

Tri-County Respite (TCR) offers comprehensive behavioral health services and supportive residential opportunities for adults, young adults and veterans recovering from emotional and behavioral challenges. With unparalleled compassion, professionalism and responsiveness, Tri-County Respite focuses on the individual's strengths and goals. Tri-County Respite provides a continuum of care in a variety of outpatient and residential settings in Bucks and Lehigh Counties, serving individuals and their families from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Maryland.
