Issaquah, WA (OPENPRESS) September 20, 2008 -- Pogacha of Issaquah, a favorite for Northwest cuisine with an Adriatic flair, celebrates its 10th anniversary in October by giving back to the community.
This is the sixth year of holding Monday night charity nights for the restaurant. In the past five years, Pogacha and its guests have given more than $10,000 back to community non-profit organizations. Pogacha of Issaquah, 120 NW Gilman Blvd., will continue the tradition this year on each Monday in October, when it will give 25 percent of the proceeds of dinner food sales to local charities.
"Our 10 year anniversary is a major milestone. By giving back to this community we say thank you to our loyal and supportive customers," said Steve King, Pogacha of Issaquah owner & general manager.
Charities benefiting include the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Issaquah Soccer Club, the American Cancer Society and Toys for Kids. On each Monday of October - Oct. 6, 13, 20, and 27 - guests will get to choose by ballot which charity receives 25 percent of their dinner bill. That means each charity can benefit each Monday night. One charity each night will be designated to receive proceeds from the bills of guests who don't choose.

About Pogacha Restaurants
Pogacha was created in 1986 by Helen Brocard, who was inspired by her parents' Croatian heritage to incorporate the fresh herbs and "pogaca" wood-fired chewy flatbreads of their native country into her restaurant. Pogacha's current owners Brad and Lisa Cassidy and Steve King have expanded upon that tradition by turning their love for simply prepared fresh quality food into three Pogacha restaurants: Pogacha of Issaquah, 120 NW Gilman Blvd. (425-392-5550); Pogacha of Bellevue, 119 106 Ave NE (425-455-5670); and Café Pogacha, 10885 NE 4th St., Bellevue (425-450-0333).
