WebItDesigns teamed up with GoPro Camera to develop a new content delivery concept built around professional female skiers.

Phoenix, AZ (OPENPRESS) December 30, 2010 -- WebItDesigns has announced the launch of their new venture, ColdAsIce.TV, to build the branding value of female professional skiers Grete Eliassen, Keri Herman, and Meg Olenick… and promote women's professional actions sports in general. ColdAsIce.TV has been sponsored by GoPro Cameras, the top action sports video equipment provider on the planet, who will be shooting on location at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge. GoPro will provide great HD video footage of top female skiers Grete Eliassen, Keri Herman, and Meg Olenick for the launch of ColdAsIce.TV

Speaking on the venture and the strategic partnership between GoPro and WebItDesigns, John Roope, president of WebItDesigns says, "This is a game changer! ColdAsIce.TV is a new way to deliver content and increase the marketability of these 3 athletes. ColdAsIce.TV is set to alter the face of professional skiing, by giving fans an exclusive access to the lives of the three of the sickest female shredders on the planet - Grete Eliassen, Keri Herman, and Megan "Megamo" Olenick. Fans get to follow their favorite female skiers as they travel around the globe participating in competitions, getting featured in Ski magazines, ski films, photo shoots and commercial advertisements. The website offers exclusive video footage of all the competitions, film shoots, heli trips, backcountry skiing, commercial shoots, ( http://www.coldasice.tv/ ) POV skiing footage, interviews, 'day in the life' style footage, sneak peek of new tricks, preseason workouts, training …etc." When asked about the importance of the partnership with GoPro, John said, "Having a sponsor like GoPro has made all the difference on this project. All footage is shot using GoPro® HD Cameras and GoPro will be shooting on location a several venues throughout the year. GoPro is the world's leading HD activity image capture company and the official video camera of ColdAsIce.TV. You cannot find better video equipment for outdoor sports."

For those who don't know the ColdAsIce.TV crew… Grete Eliassen, Keri Herman, and Meg "Megamo" Olenick are a few of the greatest names in competitive female skiing. The 3 skiers are all friends and all bring their own skills, styles and personalities to ColdAsIce.TV.

Grete Eliassen is one of the best all-round ( http://www.coldasice.tv/ ) female skiers on the planet, who has excelled in multiple skiing disciplines. Grete recently won "Women's Ski Performance of the Year" at the Summit Film Festival for her new film "Say My Name" (which can be found at saymynameski.com or on iTunes). Though Grete has recently ventured more into the realm of backcountry skiing… Grete has won Gold for the SuperPipe (2005, 2006), Silver in the superpipe in 2007, and won the Silver for the Slopestyle in 2009. Her racing background gives her a smooth style on the Slopestyle course and helps her carry speed in the pipe. While she has spent less time in the park the last few years because she is concentrating on making her own movie, "Say My Name," she has really pushed the women's backcountry jib movement. Look for Eliassen to take the same tricks she throws off cliffs in the backcountry and throw them in both SuperPipe and Slopestyle. When asked for a comment that sums up the site, and the ColdAsIce.TV project in general, Grete said, "This project is going to be unlike anything you have ever seen. Imagine, 3 hot chicks with cameras… and we can do whatever we want".

Keri Herman is a Minnesota native who took to skiing as she attended the University of Denver. A podium regular at competitions all over, Keri's most recent notable accomplishment was placing 2nd in the Women's Freeski Slopestyle at the first stop of the 2010/11 Dew Tour in Breckenridge. In 2009, Keri finished third at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge and 2nd at the European Open in Laax. Of ColdAsIce.TV, Keri said, "this is the pimpest sh$t since seedless watermelon".

Meg has been climbing the ranks on the competitive ski circuit (Dew Tour, X Games, etc). Meg faced some tough conditions at the Women's Slopestyle Competition at Winter X Games 2009, but still walked away with a fifth place finish. Meg also finished 3rd at the 2009 Dew Tour Stop at Northstar -at-Tahoe. When asked about how she felt about working with Grete and Keri on ColdAsIce.TV, Meg said, "I love that now all the cool things that the 3 of us do together can be on film and we can show everyone how cool we are." Meg has a smooth style and at 6 foot 3 inches, Meg is certainly the tallest female athlete in the history of Winter-X.

"Visitors to the site will be able to register to win prizes from GoPro, Flylow Gear and Discrete Headwear!" Roope adds. "ColdAsIce.TV received a lot of support our sponsors: title sponsors WebItDesigns.com and GoPro Cameras, as well as, gear sponsors Flylow Gear and Discrete Headwear. We are stoked and very lucky to be working with such great companies on this innovative new content delivery concept."

Flylow manufactures freeride apparel for the modern skier and believes that ski gear should be constructed to meet the ever-changing demands of snowsports. Simply put, Flylow clothing is designed for the skiers who spend their days at resorts or in the backcountry and want gear that offers durability, comfort, performance, affordability, and style.

Discrete Headwear is the brainchild of Julian Carr, who learned of discrete principles in a computer science class at the University of Utah. Discrete variables exist "in the sense of not supporting or requiring the notion of continuity." Carr loved this concept, and applying it to a headwear company was automatic. Most of Discrete Headwear's products are named after mathematical and computer science terminology.
