StoryForward LA makes its Debut with their first MeetUp featuring award winning
writer Heath Corson. StoryForward is focused on exploring the future of storytelling and entertainment.
Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (OPENPRESS) StoryForward LA will celebrate their relaunch with their first branded meetup, featuring the writer of DC Comic's Assault on Arkham, Heath Corson on Wednesday October 22nd. This inaugural event will celebrate the transition of the past TransmediaLA into the new StoryForward LA, allowing the organization to evolve in synchronicity with the modern ways people are enjoying and telling stories in the digital age.
Heath Corson is the award winning writer of Assault on Arkham, DC's newest animated feature. Fans are calling it, "the greatest DC animated film, ever." Assault on Arkham is a unique movie, set in the universe of the Batman: Arkham video game franchise, and occurs after the events of Batman: Arkham Origins. The story focuses primarily on the Suicide Squad, particularly Batman villains Deadshot and Harley Quinn, with Batman in a supporting role.
Assault on Arkham is a gritty, raw, smart and funny film, loaded with adult related material, which was a very risky move on DC's part. So far it has paid off and the fans have eaten it up. Join us as we talk to Heath about what it was like create such a groundbreaking film loaded with risky content and more importantly with Batman playing the second fiddle.
Heath will also be able to give insight into what it is like to create within the DC universe as his past project was another highly regarded DC animated film, Justice League: War, and his newest film focuses on the King of Atlantis, Aquaman.
