World Talk Radio broadcasted on the Modavox network features Sound Authors, a live interview talk radio show.

(OPENPRESS) December 26, 2007 -- Each Friday at 1PM Eastern Standard Time, Sound Authors radio show features live interviews and readings from all varieties of authors, known and not-yet-known; all soon-to-be bestselling authors from all walks of life, from Hollywood actors to marathoners, to PhD therapists or life coaches. On this talk radio show, it is the story that counts. Authors sound off on every possible topic, from cuisine to culture, and from nature to nurture.

The show also podcasts each interview separately, and all archived podcasts can be searched from the Sound Authors website at www.sounduauthors.com

The first author guest featured this week is Lorie Conway, the author of FORGOTTEN ELLIS ISLAND: The Extraordinary Story of America's Immigrant Hospital, and award-winning producer of the film of the same name. This powerful documentary and companion book features many never-before-published photographs and compelling, sometimes heartbreaking stories of patients (a few of whom are still alive today) and medical staff. It is a powerful tribute to the best and worst of America's dealings with its citizens-to-be.

The second guest will be Fitness coach Lisa Marie Mercer, the author of OPEN YOUR HEART WITH WINTER FITNESS. She is the owner of Mountain Sport Fitness in Frisco, Colorado and a ski fitness coach for the Epicski Academy and Ski Portillo. She has over 30 years experience in the fitness industry and will be discussing ways to get in shape for the New Year.

The third guest will be Sally Franz author of Stressing Down for the Holidays. She is a seasoned producer, talk show host, and media guest. She has appeared on the Today show with Al Roker and Willard Scott; interviewed on The Lifetime Network, Maury Povich Show, and CNBC; and shared the speaker's stage with Geraldo Rivera, Rosie O'Donnell, Brooke Shields, and Sue Grafton. She will be discussing New Years resolutions, what are they and why we make them and break them.

The musical guest for the show this week will be Get up Johns. Like the great brother groups of the 30s and 40s--the Delmores, the Louvins, and the Stanleys--The Get Up Johns combine close tenor harmonies with adroit and polished musicianship. Their impassioned brother duet sound developed from a shared affection for the profound beauty of two lonesome tenor voices in perfect harmony. They have been nominated for three Minnesota Music Awards and their first full-length CD, "Trouble in Mind," was released by the Mercy Recordings label in 2006 and was chosen as one of the top local releases of the year by The Onion and the City Pages.

Tune in next week for our first show of the New Year, January 4th to the live show or podcast to hear Alan Tripp, who at the age of 20 broadcasted the news on WMCA in New York. He's run an ad agency, produced the first network Pro Football Championship, has written three books, and has been an entertaining guest on radio and TV shows from New York to San Diego. His latest project, IN THE HOLE! Poetic Justice for Golf Fanatics, is a combination audio CD and book about the fun side of golf.

Sound Authors radio show each week is replete with authors from around the country and around the world, each telling their tales, from self-help to fiction, children's books to thrillers, how-to books to corporate guidebooks. Original music is also featured, along with up-and-coming bands and singer-songwriters. Listen for musician interviews and fresh music each week! No need to run out to your nearest bookstore to find the next great book or CD. Tune in to Sound Authors every Friday at 1PM EST on WorldTalk Radio. Or check out any of the interviews on the web - they are all podcasted within a day or two of the interview. Sound Authors - where authors sound off!

Sound Authors Host Dr. Kent Gustavson's background is in music, but his career has been in publishing. He is the owner of an independent book publisher, and a publishing consultant around the world. His many CDs and his book are available from his website online, or through the Sound Authors website.
