Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (OPENPRESS) Thoughts of jingle bells, gingerbread and Christmas trees are in the air in anticipation of this year's Providence O' Christmas Trees spectacular fundraiser to benefit those served by Providence Senior and Community Services. Celebrating its 33rd year of supporting the community, Providence O'Christmas Trees will feature 14 exquisitely designed Christmas trees, guaranteed to thrill guests and donors who support the event's mission to help those in need through healthcare, housing and hospice.

The 2017 Providence O'Christmas Trees kicks off the holiday season Nov. 27-29, 2017, with a Christmas Carnival, Silver Bells Luncheon, and the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, all at The Westin Seattle.

Former KING-TV anchor Dennis Bounds will continue his 18-year tradition of emceeing the event.

"The aging of the baby boomer generation could fuel a 75 percent increase in the number of Americans ages 65 and older requiring services, from 1.3 million in 2010 to about 2.3 million in 2030. Providence Senior and Community Services is motivated to meet the healthcare demands of the growing elderly population, and we are poised for success in the future with the help of our generous supporters," said Patricia Szabo, executive director of Providence Senior and Community Services Special Events. "Their support allows Providence Senior and Community Services to serve more than 25,000 people a day through our ministries and ensures that every person who seeks our help receives the critical care they need. Thank you in advance for all the community support."

Guests at this year's events will be wowed by the amazingly decorated trees with this year's standout themes that include "It's A Wonderful Life," "Peace on Earth, Goodwill to All," and "Quintessential Christmas."

The three-day event offers holiday fun and joy for all ages. Families are invited to kick off the holiday season on Nov. 27 at the free Christmas Carnival, from 3 to 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy pictures with Santa, exciting and festive entertainment with headline performer Caspar Babypants, holiday shopping, complimentary milk and cookies, kids' games and crafts. They'll enjoy perusing the beautifully decorated designer Christmas trees and voting on their favorite.

On Nov. 28, the community is invited to attend the Silver Bells Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Celebrate the spirit of the season while perusing designer decorated Christmas trees and voting for the favorite. Those attending will enjoy crossing some holiday shopping off at unique holiday shops and guests will be treated to a stunning performance by the Seattle Choral Company. Proceeds benefit seniors and hospice patients served by Providence Health & Services' Senior and Community Services.

The O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, chaired by Doug Ross and Claudia Sanders, will follow on the evening of Nov. 29. The trees and other amazing items will be auctioned to benefit seniors and hospice patients served by Providence Health & Services' Senior and Community Services.

Reservations are required for the Silver Bells Luncheon and the O' Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction. Luncheon reservations may be made online or by calling Colleen Farrell at 206-938-5790. Gala reservations may be made by contacting Jessica Sherman at 206-938-1998 or jessica.sherman@providence.org.
