Emergenza Festival is a world-wide live music festival, which started in the first half of the 1990's in Rome, Italy .
It consists of a ""live band competition"" format between groups and musicians of all genres that showcase their original material on stage.
It started off by being a small local project. All the people who worked in Emergenza put a great effort and pushed by their passion for music and strong belief in independent music production, they built it eventually into the big event that has now, after some years, some 30 odd different nations taking part. The festival spread from Italy to France, Germany, England and several other European countries.
Nowadays, Emergenza Festival takes place many different nations, including Japan, Australia and Russia. In the past few years, a lot of bands and artists who participated in this festival managed to make it in the music field due to the help Emergenza provided them, by giving them contacts and sponsors even without actually winning the contest.
Some bands went as far as playing huge support gigs like the case of IDE from Nashville who went to Boston to support country superstars Brooks and Dunn in front of 30,000 people at the world famous Tweeter center. For those who actually win their national leg of the festival, they get to play at the Taubertal Open Air Festival, an incredible stage with superstar headliners which takes place in Germany every August and were Emergenza's finalists from every single one of the 33 countries get together to represent their nation for the World final.
The one band that wins the contest judged by a professional panel, will have the chance to play in front of thousands of people on the Main Stage, just before the most important concert of the whole festival: the headliner. As well as this, the winners will get a highly professional recording production and a tour around the best clubs Europe. The other bands won't be left out as they get some amazing prizes offered by our music industry sponsors.. Emergenza Festival is exactly what every musician needs: a professional start for a rocking career.
