Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality (www.rockytophospitality.com), has announced that Katherine White, director of catering for Rocky Top, has been named to the committee for The Carying Place, Inc. 7th Annual Benefit Auction, which is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2008, at The Matthew's House, located at 317 W. Chatham St. in downtown Cary.
Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) December 27, 2007 -- Dean Ogan, owner of Rocky Top Hospitality (www.rockytophospitality.com), has announced that Katherine White, director of catering for Rocky Top, has been named to the committee for The Carying Place, Inc. 7th Annual Benefit Auction, which is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2008, at The Matthew's House, located at 317 W. Chatham St. in downtown Cary. The Carying Place is a nonprofit organization serving Wake County that teaches homeless families with children necessary life skills for attaining independent living while providing them with short-term housing support services. Each family accepted into the Transitional Housing Program is paired with a volunteer team, which works with the family to develop a personalized plan for self-sufficiency. The program serves up to eight families at a time for a period of four months per family.
White has 18 years of experience in the catering and restaurant industry. Prior to joining Rocky Top, White worked in the catering industry on film sets and received a bachelor's degree in hotel and restaurant management from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, S.C.
