The two co-founders of Dallas-based Hankinson Levinger have been singled out by The Best Lawyers in America annually since 2008. For the 2010 edition, both attorneys are recognized for their work in Appellate Law. Additionally, Mr. Levinger is included in the publication's "Commercial Litigation" and "Bet the Company Litigation" categories.
Ms. Hankinson is a respected appellate lawyer and appellate strategist with extensive experience on both sides of the bench. A former Justice on Fifth District Court of Appeals at Dallas and the Supreme Court of Texas, she handles all aspects of post-trial proceedings for her clients, including post-trial motions, appellate briefings, and oral arguments in state and federal court. She often is called upon to provide independent assessments of potential appeals and consults with other lawyers to fine-tune appellate briefings and oral arguments. Additionally, she collaborates with trial counsel to maximize the client's position in the event of an appeal and often assists or takes the lead in drafting key discovery motions, dispositive motions and jury charges.
