Bal Pharma Launches Zefpod in the Indian Market (India)

(OPENPRESS) July 31, 2008 -- BAL PHARMA LIMITED, one of India’s leading pharma companies, has announced the launch of a new range of therapeutic products in the Cephalosporins segment titled ZEFPOD. Cephalosporins account for the huge a market size of 2,330 Cr growing at the rate of 12%. The company is launching the entire range of the Zefpod (Cefpodoxime) & Zefpod-CV in three ranges consisting of Zefpod 100DT - (Cefpodoxime 100 mg Dispersible Tablets), Zefpod 200 -(Cefpodoxime 200 mg Tablets), Zefpod CV - (Cefpodoxime 200mg+Potassium Clavulanate 125mg).
The Cefpodoxime market size accounts for 150 Cr which is growing at 17% annually. Bal Pharma is targeting to touch 10 Cr in the next two years through its aggressive promotional and marketing strategies. Zefpod will be widely promoted in General Medicine , General Surgery ,Orthopedics ,Gynecology, ENT & Pediatric specialities .
