Chicago, IL (OPENPRESS) December 15, 2007 -- Local Hip-Hop recording artist, Christopher Tolen aka LUNATIC The Messiah, 31, recently became a semi-finalist (and may become a finalist next week) in Loud.com’s online rap contest with the 1st place winner receiving $100,000 in cash along with a recording contract with Steve Rifkind’s Street Records Corp. (SRC) record label which is known for marketing The Wu-Tang Clan and currently hosting a roster of celebrity Hip-Hop talent such as Akon, Remy Ma, Fat Joe and the Terror Squad, David Banner and more.
Loud.com’s innovative new contest allows registered users to select and purchase exclusive celebrity producer’s beats at 99¢ per track, record their own vocals to them using the site’s exclusive recording software, then mix and upload the song to Loud.com where other registered users are able to rate the tracks submitted to the contest. Over 70,000 users have registered and the semi-finals round will be over in less than a week.
