Manufacturing Hiring Increases Projected in Q3 and Q4 According to ResourceMFG

(OPENPRESS) August 22, 2007 -- More than half of manufacturing employers suggest they are willing to increase salaries for new employees compared to last year and to give current employees a raise to maintain high levels of manufacturing retention.

ResourceMFG division vice-president, Julie Maydew suggests, “More opportunities in the manufacturing industry are opening up in the second half of the year with four out of five manufacturers expecting to expand staffing versus the first half of the year.” Nearly half of manufacturing employers currently have open positions for which they cannot find qualified candidates.
