Atlanta, GA (OPENPRESS) August 17, 2012 -- This special edition of ATL Live On The Park held Tuesday, August 14, 2012 hosted by Devyne Stephens and ASCAP in honor of Teddy Riley's contributions to the music and entertainment industry. The ceremony featured a special performance from Blackstreet featuring Teddy Riley along with performances by Stephens UM3G Amber Bullock, Mishon, Brittnee Camelle and Stephens UM3G's newest acquisitions Saint Nick, and R&B crooner Marques Anthony.

Devyne Stephens presented Teddy Riley with the 2012 Icon Award on behalf of his Devyne Intervention Foundation, for his commitment to the entertainment community. Atlanta City Council President, Caesar Mitchell along with the Honorable Mayor Kasim Reed and Shanti Das also presented Teddy Riley with a proclamation from the City of Atlanta for his contributions to the Atlanta community. "The deaths of Heavy D, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston brought me back home to the city of Atlanta to be with family. This is home. I needed to be at home", said Riley as he graciously accepted the awards then took to his keyboard and rocked the tent at ATL Live On The Park with hits he has written and/or produced for multi-platinum recording artists such as Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative", Heavy D's "Now That We Found Love", and the classic, Michael Jackson's "Remember The Time."

Teddy Riley's bandmates from Blackstreet joined him on stage for a special performance, which brought everyone to their feet. The crowd at ATL Live On The Park danced and sang along with their favorite Blackstreet songs and begged for an encore. The group treated the crowd to a sneak peak of a new song from their upcoming album. At the end of the show Devyne Stephens thanked the crowd dressed in all-white. "Atlanta is the mecca of entertainment and I am dedicated to continuing to bring this type of entertainment to Atlanta," Stephens said.

Devyne Intervention an Atlanta-based 501(c)3 was founded by Stephens to inspire and empower youth through utilizing the universally relatable power of music and music-related initiatives. Stephens believes music has the universal power to heal. The foundation plans to harness this power of artistic expression to address and create healthy outlets for expressing negative emotions experienced by young people. Stephens observed the impact artists have on today's youth and knew committing himself to creating music-focused programs was the best way for him to give back to the community.
