(OPENPRESS) August 7, 2012 -- The Online Poker World Championship, also called OPWC, is a competition for online poker players around the world and celebrates its world premiere on August 3rd, when the contest will start full throttle.
Poker players from every corner of the planet will be able, from this date on, to compete against others just by playing Online Poker like they have done so far.
But for the first time in the history of Poker in a fully automated challenge, which can be joined anytime and identifies the best players of the world via their poker performance.
From August 3rd loads of adrenaline will run through the veins of players with the start of the first qualification phase named "Period". Six of these periods are needed to identify the best poker players from each continent, who will have the opportunity to compete in the highest class tournament - at the OPWC Main Event, which takes place once a year.
