(OPENPRESS) August 3, 2012 -- Bizzare Escapades' is the first book in a series of adventure stories. This book follows the story of four adolescent boarding school boys. 'The Buddies', as they call themselves, though different in character and background, connect, as they are also neighbors in their home town. Typical of their age group, they are not influenced by their parents' prejudices.Their common curiosity and penchant for mischief leads them into a series of bizarre incidents involving a black magician, a cannibal, a smoking skeleton, cemeteries and such. Each encounter, scary at first, often takes unexpected paths and ends up in reality to be comical. The buddies remain unharmed throughout and ready for their next escapade.
The book delivers its promise of being 'bizarre' without being disturbing to the young reader as described in the foreword by Ruskin Bond.
"If I was a boy again, I'd like to have them as friends. And even now, if I had to spend a night in a haunted house with four companions, I'd choose this cheerful lot to keep me company. They'd scare the ghosts away'
- Ruskin Bond
