She received a bachelor's degree in sociology from NC State University.
Hubbell regularly volunteers with the YMCA and helps organize the "Running Free with K-Wayne" 5k Run/Walk (http://www.kwayne5k.com) each year to benefit the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation. A native of Apex, N.C., she resides there with her husband.
