What a Bully Looks Like Art Contest Winners

Waynesville, MO (OPENPRESS) July 11, 2012 -- Quest Education Systems and Stop Walk Talk are pleased to announce the winners of the "What a Bully Looks Like" art contest. The contest winners were selected from 438 submissions in three categories; Grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12 from across the United States. Students used their creativity to depict an artistic expression of what a bully looks like. The winning individuals were chosen based on the most engaging work of art. The contest was conducted to raise the awareness of bullying and the impact that it has on children throughout the country.

The first place winner for the K-5 category was Alexandria Scheid from Elgin Elementary, Elgin, Arizona for her work entitled "What a Bully Looks Like?" Second place was awarded to Montana Morgan of Evergreen Elementary, Metamora, Ohio. Third place was Shelby Jackman, Cummings Valley Elementary, Tehachapi, California.

In the Grade 6-8 Category, Jamie Valdez of Kapolei Middle School, Kapolei, Hawaii was selected as the first place winner for her submission of "Can You Spot the Bully?" Second place was awarded to Isabella Huerta of Elgin School, Elgin Arizona. Third place was Sage Bigford, who also attends Elgin School.

In the Grade 9-12 category, Kaitlyn Gornal of Fort Hill High School, Cumberland, Maryland, was selected as the first place winner for her submission of "The Emotional Effects of Bullying". Second place was awarded to Touria Sadrati of Monticello High School, Monticello, Minnesota. Third Place was Jacob Harper, who also attends Fort Hill High School.

The first place winners will each receive a $50 gift certificate and their school will receive a one year subscription to Stop.Walk.Talk (http://stopwalktalk.org/) National Bully Reporting system and a $1000 gift certificate from Quest Education Systems (http://questeducationsystems.com/) for staff and faculty training.
