Bradford C. Dickson, CPA, MBA Receives Highest Award for Meritorious Service

Atlanta, GA (OPENPRESS) July 4, 2012 -- Bradford C. Dickson, partner and shareholder with Windham Brannon, PC, was recently awarded the Meritorious Service award by the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA), a professional organization for CPAs in Georgia. The Meritorious Service Award, the highest award presented by the GSCPA, recognizes individuals who have shown extraordinary dedication to the public and the profession.
During the 2012 GSCPA Annual Convention in Rockport, Maine, Dickson was honored for his devotion to the GSCPA, the CPA profession and his community.
"Brad serves as an advocate protecting the profession and CPA brand. He was the only CPA appointed in 2010 by the Lieutenant Governor to serve on the Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians, a program created to review and recommend substantial changes to Georgia's tax system. Brad has drafted several pieces of legislation regarding taxes in Georgia and some have passed as recently as the last legislative session. He can be counted on to put the best interest of the public and the GSCPA first, enhancing the profession by his time, talent and actions." says Colin Blalock, immediate past chair of the GSCPA.
Brad has been a member of the Society since 1985 and his participation includes a wide range of both local and statewide achievements. He continues his involvement by currently serving on the Taxation Section's leadership team as well as participating in the annual Georgia Department of Revenue Liaison meetings. He is a frequent lecturer and author for various professional and commercial organizations, covering a variety of tax issues. He has also testified in front of the Georgia General Assembly on proposed legislation.
