(OPENPRESS) July 2, 2012 -- On July 3rd, at 9pm, on Ask Dr Love Radio, Dr. Jamie Turndorf will be presenting "What's Your Relationship IQ? How to Measure Your Heart Smarts." In this show she'll be offering a sneak preview of her unique Relationship IQ Test which tests how you react to specific relationship challenges and situations.
As Dr Turndorf explains, "everyone's heard of an IQ, or an 'Intelligence Quotient.' We all know that we have one, and most people would prefer to have at least a normal or above average IQ (and most people probably think they do). But when it comes to relationships, a high IQ score is no measure of how smart you are in love. IQ measures your reasoning and logical faculties, your memory, and your knowledge of various subjects. It doesn't measure your social and communication abilities, your level of empathy and compassion, your range of emotions and how you handle your feelings and react to other's feelings. It doesn't measure the intelligence of what's in your heart, but only in your head. To measure that, I've devised a new metric I call the RIQ, or Relationship Intelligence Quotient."
In fact, she says, "when it comes to relationships, listening only to your head and to logic can often fatal, and is the cause of a wide variety of relationship troubles. This is simply because relationships are ruled by the heart, not the head, and can't just think your way out of relationship conflicts. You also have to feel your way through them. You could say that the heart isn't exactly illogical, but has its own kind of logic. As Pascal said, 'Le cœur a ses raisons, que la raison ne connaît point,' which means, the heart has its reasons that reason doesn't understand!"
And, it turns out, the higher your Relationship IQ, the more happy and successful you will be in life and love. The good news is you can increase your RIQ with your FREE "Relationship IQ Test" and workbook at http://AskDrLove.com.
