Tania Zaetta Cleared as Office Of Fair Trading State No Evidence

(OPENPRESS) June 30, 2012 -- The Office of Fair Trading Qld have today dropped all charges in relation to a Charity licensing matter regarding TV Personality Tania Zaetta. The OFT failed to find and provide any evidence to warrant or proceed with their ridiculous and damaging allegations that Tania knew a charity organization was unregistered to receive donations in the state of Qld.

As they were repeatedly informed from as far as a year back from all parties involved in the charity, including the charity Business Manager and Accountant, that as a 'recognisable face' Tania lent her name and support to the charity, and was not involved in any business dealings or day to day running activities.

"Obviously I'm happy that the truth has now been confirmed, as I have been stating over the past year." says Tania.

"An apology from the Office of Fair Trading for making such damaging and hurtful allegations that have questioned my character and credibility would be welcomed and appreciated, but I doubt I'll receive one."

"Instead" Tania adds, "they have disappointedly wasted months of time and tax payers money, including my time and unnecessary legal costs in an attempt to build a case. Personally I would have preferred all that effort and money spent from both sides was used more beneficially, such as being donated to Charity."

Outside court her lawyer Chris Nyst said Ms Zaetta was "happy the madness (was) over.

"She should never have been charged. All she did was give freely of her time to a charity and instead of praise she got criticism."

Tania was recently the highest money raiser on Celebrity Apprentice Australia, raising more than $75,000 for charity. She looks forward to passionately continuing to assist with all charities and helping them in as many area's as possible.
