Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) June 1, 2012 -- The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) (http://www.kroger.com/), the nation's largest traditional grocery retailer with 16 stores throughout the Triangle, has announced its "Hot Savings on Fuel, All Summer Long" promotion, allowing customers to earn and double the maximum amount of fuel points redeemable, saving up to $2.00 off per gallon at all Kroger Fuel Centers and partner Shell locations. Through regular in store purchases and special offers from May 27 through Sept. 30, customers have the opportunity to redeem up to 2000 fuel reward points.

Kroger customers can take advantage of the fuel point savings daily. For every purchase of $50 in gift cards from Kroger's Gift Card Mall, customers receive 100 fuel points in return. As part of the Dads and Grads savings event, Kroger is offering quadruple fuel points on most gifts cards in the store. When using the Kroger 1-2-3 Rewards Visa, customers can earn an additional 5 cents off the cost of a gallon of gas when redeeming points. First time cardholders can expect to save 25 cents per gallon during the first three months when redeeming at least 100 fuel points. In addition, customers can earn 50 fuel points for every qualifying prescription.
