(OPENPRESS) May 24, 2012 -- From June 7th to June 8th, the largest start-up conference in the Nordic and Baltic region will take place in Tallinn, Estonia. Latitude59 will feature both active, successful start-ups as well as new players in the market.

In the beginning of June, start-up enthusiasts, investors and experts will meet at Latitude59 for lectures and panel discussions to share their experiences about starting IT-companies in the Nordic and Baltic regions.

The largest conference in the region will focus on topical issues for the start-up sector, such as mobile and web services, but also alternative fields such as biotech and cleantech. In addition, ten Estonian start-ups will showcase their solutions in demo booths at the event.

"As the conference will be visited by international venture capitalists, the conference is a perfect opportunity for local start-ups to create new contacts, which will help them in growth and expansion," said one of the head organizers of Latitude59, representative of Garage48 and MoMo Estonia Priit Salumaa.

Companies showcasing their solutions include virtual dressing room provider Fits.me, whose solution is used by large e-stores such as Otto; and award-winning location-based mobile application provider TaxiPal, whose solution is used in over 2500 cities in 31 countries.
