RALEIGH, N.C. - SfL+a Architects (http://www.sfla.biz) has announced that Joseph J. Anetrella, AIA, LEED AP technical director, has been elected to serve as the Construction Specifications Institute's director for the organization's Southeast region. In this position, Anetrella, who has been involved with CSI for more than 25 years, will be responsible for setting the course of direction for the organization and will provide long-range strategic leadership and guidance. The only construction industry organization that unites all of the participants in the built environment, CSI works to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve overall facility performance.
As technical director at SfL+a Architects, Anetrella is responsible for creating, implementing, and enforcing the technical standards of the firm's design and building process. He received his bachelor's degree in architecture from City College of New York and is a licensed architect, LEED accredited professional, LEED AP-BD+C, Certified Construction Specifier, as well as a member of American Institute of Architects (AIA). He resides in Cary, N.C.
