Fareham (OPENPRESS) April 27, 2012 - Scandinavian golfers grabbed many of the headlines throughout this months fabulous US Masters. Peter Hanson led going into the final round and fellow Swede Henrik Stenson topped the leaderboard for much of day one before his disastrous eight on 18.
Scandinavian golf is on the up, with Swede Fredrik Jacobson finishing tied 19th at Augusta, while Denmark's Anders Hansen tied 24th with his fellow countryman Thomas Bjorn 37th.
And leading UK golf clothing brand Sub70 has backed another Dane to reach the top, with highly rated Mark Haastrup now wearing the trendy brand on the European Tour. The 28-year-old, Højby-born golfer finished 117th in the Race to Dubai in his first full season on tour, but injury curtailed his progress.
Now back to full fitness after a year on the treatment table, Haastrup will look to kick-start his career again on April 26 when he tees off in the Ballantine's Championship, at Blackstone GC, in Seoul, South Korea. He will be in the field with fellow Sub70 pros Andrew Dodt and Scott Strange, both from Australia, and five former Major winners: Americans Todd Hamilton and Shaun Micheel, Canadian Mike Weir, Korean YE Yang and Irishman Darren Clarke.
Sub70 director Andy Davies said: "Mark was really making great strides on the tour before his injury - now we're hoping our great 'strides' will give him confidence to go out and fulfil the potential he was displaying before injury cut short his progress.

We'd like to wish him well as he begins his long road back and look forward to seeing his name high up on future leaderboards."
