Patchogue, NY (OPENPRESS) April 28, 2012 -- Swirls and Twirls self-serve frozen yogurt shop (www.swirlsandtwirlsusa.com), featuring 24 flavors, 43 toppings and endless possibilities, had their grand opening celebration in March of its third location at 394 Sunrise Highway, Patchogue, in the Waldbaum's Shopping Center.
The Patchogue location is the third Swirls and Twirls location on Long Island. The successful launch of this frozen yogurt chain began with the opening of the first shop in Massapequa Park in May 2011, and then another location in West Islip.
"We are now becoming so much more than a typical frozen yogurt shop," says Joe Sala, co-owner of Swirls and Twirls. "With three locations now on Long Island, a big following on Facebook and Twitter, we are now becoming an integral part of the communities in Patchogue, West Islip, and Massapequa Park. Families enjoy the vibrant atmosphere we have created at Swirls and Twirls, we raise money for local organizations like CASK, the Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation of Lynbrook, and we have wonderful promotions and discounts to keep our loyal fans bringing in more and more people each day."
Swirls and Twirls has 8 yogurt machines each serving two flavors, with a third handle allowing customers to create a swirled flavor. All premium yogurt flavors are kosher and most include gluten-free, non-fat, low-fat, no sugar added, dairy-free varieties, and are as low as 70 calories per ½ cup serving. The topping stations contain seven wet, nine fruit and 27 dry toppings. "Swirls and Twirls is all self-serve to encourage folks to have fun and get creative," says Sala, "With all these delectable options, there are endless combination possibilities to create your own healthy treat; your only limit is your imagination!"
Leveraging technology to enhance the Swirls experience, the Patchogue location has a huge flatscreen with their Facebook Fan page displayed. Customers can go to the Facebook Fan page while they are in the store and upload comments or photos of their creations, and they will see their posts immediately displayed on the flatscreen in the store.
