Raleigh, NC (OPENPRESS) October 14, 2011 -- MedPro Rx, Inc. (http://www.medprorx.com), a provider of specialty pharmacy services to clients with chronic illnesses who need clotting factor, IVIg and other medication, has announced that President Nancy McFarlane was elected as Mayor of the City of Raleigh, N.C. in the October elections.
As president of MedPro Rx, McFarlane has led the pharmacy to multimillion dollar sales revenues over the past nine years. She implemented a vision to create a pharmacy that would not only coordinate pharmaceutical care with existing community resources, but also serve as an advocate for the bleeding disorder community. MedPro Rx has several community outreach programs, including its "Education is Power" scholarship program. To date, the pharmacy has awarded nearly $300,000 in scholarship funds to students nationwide who are living with bleeding disorders. MedPro Rx also supports several other organizations dedicated to helping people living with chronic illnesses, including the Hemophilia Foundation of North Carolina, the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation, Patient Services, Inc. (PSI), the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, the Neuropathy Association and other nonprofits throughout the region.

She is also involved with the Women's Forum of NC and the Women on Board Steering Committee.
