Pinehurst, NC (OPENPRESS) May 11, 2011 -- Avjet Biotech, Inc. (ABI), a leading developer of small distributive refining systems in the 10 to 15 million gallon per year range and parent company of Red Wolf Refining (, has announced that it has selected Continental Technologies, a Boulder, Colo.-based company which designs, fabricates, installs and operates refineries and other processing systems, to establish its pre-prototype laboratory system, prototype aviation biofuel facility and commercial scale aviation biofuel refinery.

"Our agreement with Continental Technologies will produce plans, specifications, schematics and equipment designs that we can implement at other small, distributive refineries across the globe," said Marty Oliver, president of ABI. "Continental's knowledge, support and years of experience will help Avjet become the turnkey provider for organizations who need small, distributive refineries."

"We are pleased to take this next step forward to see the laboratory scale facility built on the NC State University campus," said Don Evans, chairman and CEO of ABI. "As our facilities grow into three stages of production scale, we will be able to provide aviation biofuels that will benefit the military and commercial aviation biofuel demands world-wide."

- Avjet Biotech has developed the RWR System, a unique patented refining technique that uses a thermal catalytic process to refine any triglyceride into aviation biofuels. The RWR System is under development for sale as a small distributive refining system to global entities or foreign governments that aspire to produce aviation biofuels from native feedstocks. Red Wolf has been approached by global corporations and foreign governments for sub-licenses for its RWR System.

- ABI's other division is Pinehurst Biologics, which produces patented enzymes and algal oil for aviation biofuel feedstock.

ABI, through its subsidiary, Red Wolf Refining, creates superior transportation biofuels and its microbiology subsidiary, Pinehurst Biologics produces algae based products through genetics. The Pinehurst, N.C.-based firm is dedicated to supporting the U.S. military in its goal to eliminate dependence on foreign oil. For more information, visit
