Markham, ON (OPENPRESS) April 9, 2011 -- Times Group Corp. today revealed Uptown Markham, a magnificent master-planned community stretching along a prime 88-acre parcel of land within the confines of the spectacular Rouge River Valley, south of Highway 7 in Markham. One of Canada's largest new residential condominium developments, the $2-billion family friendly community will be built to the highly efficient LEED® Gold Standard and is in line with the Ontario government's Places to Grow initiative to build communities that support economic prosperity while achieving a high quality of life.

Located along Highway 7 between Warden Ave. and Birchmount Rd., the project will eventually house 4,500 residential condominium units and 550,000 square feet of commercial space, including an initial 150,000 square feet at "Uptown Square" and a further 400,000 square feet of commercial and office space at the corner of Highway 7 and Warden. Coinciding with today's announcement is the opening of the Uptown Markham sales office at Majestic Court, 60 South Town Centre Boulevard in Markham.
The first phase of Uptown Markham is River Park, a grouping of two high-rise and one mid-rise condominium residences that are European styled, energy efficient, maintenance-free and affordable with prices ranging from $240,000 to $600,000. Pre-sales to VIP clients have already started in Buildings B and C, with Building A to be released shortly.
"Seeing is believing when it comes to River Park," said Busch. "To my knowledge, we are one of the first builders in Canada to provide an indoor/outdoor pre-school play centre where children aged 2-6 can socialize with other children while supervising parents socialize with other parents."
Two stunning full-sized models are now available for viewing at the newly opened sales centre. Additional amenities will include a party room, gourmet kitchen and bar, indoor swimming pool and sauna, fitness facility and yoga studio, business centre, theatre/screening room, billiards and card room.
