QAwerk company started a weekly Bug Crawl project to find atypical errors in random applications.

(OPENPRESS) Software testing plays a significant role in the product development cycle since it helps to eliminate errors in the early stages and to avoid the further negative attitude of users to the program. Many companies apply only one or two existing testing methods at the final development stage, but testing at all stages, using various types of tests, will have the greatest effect. Unfortunately, not all product creators are experienced testers and can detect mistakes qualitatively. Therefore start-ups and large companies look to outsourcing testing services for better testing of their product. It often happens that after the product releases to the market, users themselves begin to check the correctness of the app and find errors that the service founders did not eliminate.

Ukrainian outsourcing company QAwerk specializes in software testing for the world's leading companies. In addition to providing regular QA services, QAwerk also organizes an internal project called Bug Crawl. The idea behind the project is to test random applications every week and create exhaustive reports on any found errors. Thus, QAwerk testers learn new technologies and ways to detect the most atypical application problems. At the moment, QAwerk has tested over a hundred iOS and Android apps and found more than 250 serious errors. Some of the tested services include the weather application 360 Weather, the social dining platform VizEat, and the ChatAll application, which provides users with side-by-side translations of their conversations. During the Weekly Bug Crawl, QAwerk testers are faced with problems of authorization in applications, the ability to leave blank fields when filling out forms, the sudden termination of the application, and even grammatical errors.

All of this study suggests that developers paid insufficient attention to testing the application before making it available to the user, and now they risk losing customer confidence and product cost.

Initially, using the right approach to application development and entrusting the outsourcing company a full-scale QA process will allow companies to save most of their time, money, and get an idea of how their product works from the outside. QAwerk is such a reliable partner for its customers. Applying modern methods and diverse approaches to testing help its expert testers to identify errors and run entirely ready-to-use projects, avoiding incompleteness.
