Fundraising event to benefit those in need through healthcare, housing and hospice

Seattle-Bellevue-Everett, WA (OPENPRESS) The anticipation is building for Providence O' Christmas Trees, celebrating its 32nd year of supporting the community with a spectacular fundraiser that rings in the holiday season and benefits those served by Providence Senior and Community Services. This year's celebration returns to a three-day event that will feature 15 exquisitely designed Christmas trees, guaranteed to wow and impress guests and donors who support the event's mission to help those in need through healthcare, housing and hospice.

The 2016 Providence O'Christmas Trees kicks off the holiday season on Nov. 28-30, 2016, with a Christmas Carnival, Silver Bells Luncheon, and the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, all at The Westin Seattle.

Former KING-TV anchor Dennis Bounds will continue his 17-year tradition of emceeing the event.

"We are so pleased to welcome all our sponsors, donors and supporters back this year. Their loyalty means that Providence Senior and Community Services is able to support the rapidly growing elderly population with the full range of services that we offer — hospice, home care, assisted living, nursing homes and infusion care, along with supportive housing for the poor and vulnerable," said Patricia Szabo, executive director of Providence Senior and Community Services Special Events.

Participants will be wowed by the amazingly decorated trees with this year's standout themes that include "I'll Be Home For Christmas," "O'Holy Night," and "Christmas By Design."

The three-day event offers holiday fun and joy for all ages. Families are invited to kick off the holiday season on Nov. 28 at the free Christmas Carnival, from 3 to 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy pictures with Santa, kids carnival games, exciting entertainment with headline performer Caspar Babypants, delicious snacks, and crafts with the Seattle Children's Museum. They'll enjoy perusing the beautifully decorated designer Christmas trees and voting on their favorite.

On Nov. 29, the community is invited to attend the "Silver Bells Luncheon" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Celebrate the spirit of the season while perusing designer decorated Christmas trees and voting for the favorite. Those attending will enjoy crossing some holiday shopping off their list in the Grand Lobby Shops, which will feature glassybaby and more. The event will be highlighted by a fantastic performance by the Seattle Men's Chorus. Proceeds benefit seniors and hospice patients served by Providence Health & Services' Senior and Community Services.

The O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, chaired by Majdi and Dana Daher, will follow on the evening of Nov. 30. The trees and other amazing items will be auctioned to benefit seniors and hospice patients served by Providence Health & Services' Senior and Community Services.

Reservations are required for the Silver Bells Luncheon and the O' Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction and may be made by calling 206-938-2788.

Providence Health & Services has provided healthcare, housing and supportive care services for people in the Puget Sound area for 160 years. They are served by Providence ElderPlace, Heritage House at the Market, Providence Hospice of Seattle, Providence In-Home Services, Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services, Providence Supportive Housing, Providence Marianwood, and Providence Mount St. Vincent - all of which are available to residents of King County.
