The 2019 Providence O'Christmas Trees kicks off the holiday season Dec. 2-4, 2019, with a Family Preview, Silver Bells Luncheon, and the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, all at The Westin Seattle.

Seattle, WA (OPENPRESS) Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Providence O' Christmas Trees will hold three days of community events to benefit those served by Providence Home and Community Care. The holiday spectacle will feature 14 uniquely designed Christmas trees that will capture the imagination of guests and donors who support the event's mission to help those in need through healthcare, housing and hospice.

The 2019 Providence O'Christmas Trees kicks off the holiday season Dec. 2-4, 2019, with a Family Preview, Silver Bells Luncheon, and the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, all at The Westin Seattle.

Former KING-TV anchor Dennis Bounds will mark his 20th year emceeing the event.

In the 35 years that Providence O'Christmas Trees has been raising money for community members served by the eight Providence ministries in King County, more than 40,000 guests have attended the event, designers have decorated more than 500 unique trees, and — most importantly — more than $17 million has been raised to benefit the sick and vulnerable.

"As the delivery of healthcare continues to evolve, one thing is certain — the number of poor and vulnerable people who rely on our services is growing," said Patricia Szabo, executive director of Providence Home and Community Care Special Events. "The generosity of our donors allows Providence Home and Community Care to serve more than 30,000 people on any given day through our ministries and ensures that every person who seeks our help receives the critical care they need. Thank you for your support."

Guests will be treated to more unique trees this year, including "Christmas Rocks," sponsored and designed by Ben Bridge, "Elf," sponsored by Walsh Construction and designed by Shauna Reid, and "Hello Christmas," sponsored by Kantor Taylor and designed by Keri Snyder.

The three-day event offers holiday fun and joy for all ages. Families are invited to kick off the holiday season on Dec. 2 at the free Family Preview, from 4 to 8 p.m. Guests will enjoy pictures with Santa, a Seahawks Monday Night game viewing area, special treats and kids' arts and crafts. They'll enjoy perusing the beautifully decorated designer Christmas trees and voting on their favorite.

On Dec. 3, the community is invited to attend the Silver Bells Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Celebrate the spirit of the season with a special jazz performance of A Charlie Brown Christmas performed by The Jose "Juicy" Gonzales Trio while perusing designer-decorated Christmas trees and voting for the favorite. Those attending will enjoy holiday shopping at unique shops.

The O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction, chaired by Jana and Peter Norman, will follow on the evening of Dec. 4, when the beautifully decorated holiday trees and other amazing items will be auctioned to the highest bidders.

Providence Home and Community Care is honored to announce a $500,000 matching gift for the Special Appeal portion of the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner and Auction. This corporate donation was made anonymously in support of the Special Appeal, which will highlight some of the ways the organization contributes to the needs of the homeless in Seattle through its wide range of existing services.

Reservations are required for the Silver Bells Luncheon and the O'Christmas Trees Gala Dinner & Auction. Luncheon reservations may be made online or by contacting Pam Gargett at 206-938-4925 or pamela.gargett@providence.org. Gala reservations may be made by contacting Jessica Sherman at jessica.sherman@providence.org or 206-938-1998.

Providence Health & Services has provided healthcare, housing and supportive care services for people in the Puget Sound area for 163 years. Money raised from these events provides programs and services for those who are elderly or disabled, disenfranchised, or facing end of life. They are served by Providence ElderPlace, Heritage House at the Market, Providence Hospice of Seattle, Providence Home Services, Providence Infusion and Pharmacy Services, Providence Supportive Housing, Providence Marianwood, and Providence Mount St. Vincent - all of which are available to residents of King County.
