SMi Group reports - SMi's 11th annual Cold Chain Distribution will provide further insights into emerging market challenges for cold chain distribution. This event will take place in London in December.
London, UK (OPENPRESS) By 2020, pharma cold-chain logistics will be worth $16.7 billion, according to preliminary data from Pharmaceutical Commerce's annual Biopharma Cold Chain Sourcebook. This substantial growth is being driven by strict requests for increase in biologics in international life science shipments.
SMi's 11th annual Cold Chain Distribution Conference and Exhibition will provide further insights into emerging market challenges for cold chain distribution, from regulatory requirements to partner selection. The conference will take place in London, December 12-13, 2016. This event will host cold chain experts from the Pharma and Biotech regulators and suppliers to keep abreast of cold chain distribution developments.
The event will include a keynote address by Gino Vleugels, Senior Manager Temperature Control EMEA at Johnson & Johnson. He will discuss the supply chain set-up in an epidemical region, cultural differences and how to cope with them.
Expert speaker Yoram Eshel, Senior Director of Global Transportation and Logistics at Teva Pharmaceuticals (Israel), will be looking at real time temperature surveillance and monitoring, and will suggest how to tackle temperature-sensitive shipment.
Robert Potts, Director of International Quality at Vertex Pharmaceutical (Europe) will speak on Selecting Your Long-Lasting Partners. Highlights from the talk include understanding local compliance and clearing potential risks, on-going partner management and screening of contractors and sub-contractors for their competencies.
