Emily Faith a 14 yr old singer songwriter from Kingfisher Oklahoma has been cast in the new God's Not Dead Live tour opening for the Newsboys spring 2017.

Oklahoma City, OK (OPENPRESS) Emily Faith, the 14-year-old Enid singer/songwriter, will take on a new role in 2017 when she will open for the Newsboys, March 17 at the Central National Bank Center in Enid, OK.

God's Not Dead Live is a musical based on the movie. It will open Newsboys shows across the country. Faith has been cast as one of the main characters and leaves for Nashville to train for the show in January. They will begin a 50 city national tour on Feb. 3.

Faith first drew attention for her music at age 8 when she wrote her first song, "Mean Girls" about bullying. With the help of KJ Film Works, she filmed a music video for the song.

Her music and songwriting has evolved over the years and many musical influences have helped shape her own unique sound. Many producers have tried to push her into a pop or country mold. "I am starting out my career as a cross over artist — I don't want to be defined by one particular style. Like splatter paint my music represents many different parts of me," she said.

"I am determined to be a positive role model. I have very high standards and won't compromise myself or others. I stand firmly in my faith. It has provided me with everything I need. My music demonstrates who I am and what I stand for. Music is like oxygen to me - without it I wouldn't survive. It's part of me when I am happy and it comforts me when I am sad. I can't imagine my life without music."

Faith is signed with a Los Angeles agent and is in talks with Disney Music about her original material. Her bio includes opening shows for President George W. Bush, Marty Stuart, Sawyer Brown, and Bryan White. She has performed around the country including House of Blues, Loretta Lynn's Ranch, Six Flags, Disneyland, and sang the national at an OKC Thunder game and NASCAR.

With numerous awards including five Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year awards from the Oklahoma and North American Country Music Associations, Faith has done EPs with Grammy Award winners Juan Otero and Ken Caillat. She currently is working on a new EP under the direction of Grammy-nominated producer Eric Berdon.
